The program provides a set transparent cost margin amount (Ex: 15% over cost) for a monthly membership fee of $100, as well as reliable access to a wide network of freight carriers.
Benefit to Customers
This program allows our customers to take advantage of deeply discounted, pre-negotiated group rates, often available only to larger Full Truck Load shippers, & gives them predictability over their annual freight cost.
Example of Cost Structure Commonly Applied in the Industry
8 Truckloads @ $1,500 cost per truck = $12,000
Average Industry Broker Markup: 25% over cost
Broker Margin: $12,000 x 25% = $3,000
Total Cost to Customer: $15,000
Example Freight Membership Program
8 Truckloads @ $1,500 cost per truck = $12,000
Membership Program Markup = 15% ($1,800)
Monthly Membership Fee: $100
Total Cost to Customer: $12,000 + (15% x $12,000) + $100 = $13,900
Monthly Savings Under Freight Membership Program: $15,000 - $13,900 = $1,100
